The Timberwolves Drop Three Straight Sets in 2nd Match Against Muskegon CC

Muskegon, MI - The Timberwolves (13-8, 5-5) traveled to Muskegon, MI to play the Jayhawks of Muskegon CC (18-6, 7-1) for the second time this season. The first time around, the Timberwolves started hot, dominating set one at home. The rest of the match went to the Jayhawks, in route to a 3-1 victory over NCMC. The second match was almost identical. 

Match vs Muskegon CC 

Set one was competitive, but the Jayhawks pulled away at the end, winning 25-19. The domination from Muskegon CC continued, and got progressively better throughout, as they took set two, 25-16, and set three, 25-14, to complete the 3-0 clean sweep. 

Statistical Leaders 

  • Chloe Winchell (Freeland/Freeland) led the offense with 10 kills on 25 attempts. 

  • Laken LeBaron (Freeland/Freeland) registered 19 assists on the night.

The Timberwolves return home this Friday, October 17th, as NCMC hosts a four-team tournament lasting two days, including the likes of Saint Clair CCC, Kankakee CC, and Milwaukee Area Technical College. The tournament kicks off with NCMC facing off against Kankakee CC on Friday, at 4:30 pm EST.
