Timberwolves Drop First of Three Matches to Kick off the Buffalo Wild Wings & Corktown Timberwolves Quad Tournament
Petoskey, MI - The Timberwolves (13-9, 5-5) are set to host the Buffalo Wild Wings & Corktown Pizza Timberwolves Tournament at Petoskey Plastics Arena on Friday, October 17th and Saturday, October 18th. With two games being played on Friday and six on Saturday. The tournament brings some tough competition; Saint Clair County CC (18-4), Milwaukee Area Technical College (26-7), and Kankakee CC (16-12), have 60 combined wins on the season - all enjoying success in their respective conferences.
Match vs Kankanee CC
The first set was a battle from the very beginning. With several ties and lead changes throughout, Kankakee ended up pulling out the 27-25 victory. Set two was earily similar, with the Timberwolves taking a late, 25-24 lead. With Kankakee on their heels, they scored three straight points, to end set two, 27-25. The Timberwolves ran out of gas in the third set, after an early battle. Kankakee CC absolutely dominated set three, taking it 25-8 - to complete the 3-0 sweep.
