The Timberwolves Dominate Early, Coasting to a 3-1 Match Win at Home

Petoskey, MI – The Timberwolves (13-7, 5-4) looked to start their long week of games off in the right direction. This week, the Timberwolves have four games on the schedule, with three of them being played at home. They traveled to Escanaba, MI to face the Norse of Bay College (10-9, 4-4) for the first time this season, on Wednesday, September 17th, taking that match in four sets; looking to have similar success in the second match against them. 

Match vs Bay College 

The Timberwolves dominated early on, making a statement; taking set one, 25-9. They maintained that success heading into set two, winning 25-20. The Norse struck back in the third set, 25-16. Set four was back and forth throughout, with the Timberwolves closing it out, 25-20, to take the season series, 2-0. 

Statistical Leaders

• Ceara LeBlanc (Brimley/Brimley) led the way with six service aces, a single-game career high for the sophomore.
• Chloe Winchell (Freeland/Freeland) led the offense with 12 kills.
• Laken LeBaron (Freeland/Freeland) aided the offense with 20 assists.

Next up:

The Timberwolves travel to Muskegon CC this Wednesday, October 15th to take on the Jayhawks. This will then return home for the Buffalo Wild Wings & Corktown Pizza Timberwolves Quad on Friday, October 17th & Saturday, October 18th.
