NCMC Women's Basketball Drop one on the Road Against the Road Runners

Dowagiac, MI - After a 15 day break since their last game against Kellogg CC, the NCMC Women's basketball team was set to face off against The Roadrunners of Southwestern Michigan College on Saturday, January 3rd. After an early run and lead from Southwestern, Coach Michael Glass decided to call a timeout to settle things down. The arena was loud and condensed. After the timeout, the Timberwolves played their opposition evenly for the rest of the half - going into halftime down 58-29. The Roadrunners sustained their lead throughout the rest of the game, ending in a 114-61 victory.

Statistical Leaders
  • Cadence Cullen (St. Ignace/St. Ignace) poured in 22 points on an impressive 10-11 shooting night from the free throw line.
  • Gracie Jones (Newport/Jefferson) added in 18 points and seven rebounds.
  • Arika Taylor (Joliet/Joliet Central) facilitated well with six assists.

The Timberwolves will host Mid Michigan College for their first conference game; and first home game in over a month. This will be played this Saturday, January 10th at 1:00 pm EST.
