Three Women’s Basketball Timberwolves Earn All-Conference Honors

The Michigan Community College Athletic Association announced the basketball season awards this afternoon with three Timberwolves earning honors.   

• Maziah Shelton (Joliet, IL/Joliet West) was a standout player, contributing in every aspect of the game. She led the team in points (542), field goals made (188), rebounds (266), and steals (47), while also posting the highest scoring average (20.1 PPG). Shelton set multiple records, including most points in a game (31) and most free throws made in a game (13). She earned All-Freshman North and 2nd Team All-North for her impressive season.
• Ceara LeBlanc (Brimley, MI/Brimley) earned Northern Conference Honorable Mention. She set records for most 3-pointers made in a season (47) and best 3-point percentage in a game (66.6%). LeBlanc also holds career marks for 3 pointers made (47) and 3-point percentage (32.2%).

• Camille Wardin (Saginaw, MI/Nouvel Catholic Central) was named 3rd Team All-North. She set records for most blocked shots in a game (6) and most blocked shots in a season (55). Wardin also holds career records for rebounds (302) and blocked shots (73), while posting the best field goal percentage in a game (80%).

This basketball season has been one for the books. With record-breaking performances, the most wins, and the highest conference finish, these three student-athletes are being recognized for their outstanding contributions. Their achievements reflect the hard work and success of the entire Timberwolves team this season. Congratulations to all the award winners and to Timberwolves Basketball for an outstanding year!
