Coach Rod Anderson Looks to Lead NCMC Cross Country Program in Year Six
Petoskey, MI – Timberwolves Cross Country Head Coach Rod Anderson enters his fourth season as the coach of the Timberwolves. Prior to Cross Country becoming a varsity sport in 2022, NCMC had participated at the club level since 2019; with Anderson leading that program. Rounding out his contributions accumulating over the last six seasons.
Timberwolves returners include JT Greenier (Charlevoix, MI/Boyne Falls) on the men’s side; while Kendra Couturier (Lake Leelanau, MI/Lake Leelanau St. Mary’s), and Sydney Feagan (Harbor Springs, MI/St. Michael’s Academy) return on the women’s side.
The incoming freshmen on the men’s side include Brady Bearss (Boyne City, MI/Boyne City), Kincade Holt (St. Ignace, MI/LaSalle), Sebastian Hornibrook (Petoskey, MI/Homeschool), Sam Rahilly (Newberry, MI/Newberry), and Dakota Taylor (Naubinway, MI/Engadine).
The incoming freshmen on the women’s side include Vada Finch (Rogers City, MI/Rogers City), and Sakura Springborn (Harbor Springs, MI/Home School).
The Timberwolves remain consistent on staff, with Assistant Coach Andy Place returning for his fourth season alongside Anderson. Prior to joining Anderson at NCMC, Place coached Track & Field at the high school level for over two decades. Enjoying a plethora of success including two Regional Championships; and a top 5 State Championship finish.
First meet of the season is set for Friday, August 29th, 10:00am at St. Clair County Community College.
