McCauley's Banner Night Leads Timberwolves to Victory

Petoskey, MI – The Timberwolves (2-14, 1-3) found their groove when they hosted Kirtland Community College (3-12, 2-1). In the tightly contested match both teams played scrappy defense and the lead changed 3 times. The Timberwolves went into the half, down by three 24-27.

Coming out for the second half the team was consistent and played together as they weathered the pressure of the Firebirds. Going down the stretch the Timberwolves took control and came out victorious, winning 62-54.

Statistical Leaders
  • Logan McCauley (Wolverine/Wolverine) had his career high and powered the Timberwolves with 25 points, sinking 5 three-point field goals.
  • Gavin Goetz (Cadillac/Cadillac) had 13 points, 7 rebounds and 2 blocks.
  • Jordan Guenette (Negaunee/Negaunee) hit double digits with 10 points. He also added 3 assists and 2 steals.
