Three Men's Basketball Players Honored by MCCAA

Petoskey, MI – The MCCAA released the Men’s Basketball Award winners and North Central’s Josh Adim (Joliet, IL/Joliet Central), Andrew Johnson (Chicago, IL/Joliet West) & Dai’Montae Rembert (Gary, IN/Gary Lighthouse) have all been chosen. The Timberwolves finished tied for 3rd place in the MCCAA North and received the #5 seed for the Region XII Great Lakes District Tournament for the first season in which the team was eligible for post-season play. Following the team’s success having multiple players named to the All-Conference team shows the strength and respect the MCCAA has for the Timberwolves.

Josh Adim – MCCAA Third Team All Northern Conference

Adim led the Timberwolves in points per game (15.7) and was 6th in the MCCAA North. He scored 393 points this season, including knocking down 55 three-point field goals (5th most three-pointers in the MCCAA North). This marks the first post-season award for Adim at NCMC.

Andrew Johnson – MCCAA Third Team All Northern Conference

Johnson was the team’s leading scorer with 413 points on the season and scored his game career high 26 points at GRCC to help the team clinch a playoff position.  A calm, confident leader Johnson led the team in made free throws and free throw percentage for the season. He was named the MCCAA North Men’s Basketball Player of the Week on 2/27/2024.

Dai’Montae Rembert – MCCAA Honorable Mention All Northern Conference

Rembert is being recognized by the MCCAA Northern Conference coaches for the first time in his career. In 16 games this season he scored 166 points and collected 103 rebounds. He had two double-doubles this season, against Kirtland College (1/24/24) and at Bay College (2/7/24).
